Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open: Samsonova books spot in second round

Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the No 8 seed, beat Ukrainian Lesia Tsurenko 6-0, 6-1 to reach the second round of the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open at the International Tennis Centre, Zayed Sports City on Tuesday evening.

Samsonova, ranked No 15, will play the winner of the match between Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina and Italian lucky loser Lucia Bronzetti next.
