Elena Rybakina won against Karolina Pliskova 6-4, 6-2 on Thursday and will play the winner of the match between Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the No 6 seed, and Kazakh qualifier Yulia Putintseva in the next round

Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the No 3 seed, defeated Czech Karolina Pliskova 6-4, 6-2 to move into the last 8 of the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open on Thursday.
Rybakina, ranked No 10, will face the winner of the match between Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the No 6 seed, and Kazakh qualifier Yulia Putintseva next.
Pliskova, ranked No 20, won against Belgian lucky loser Ysaline Bonaventure (6-1, 6-3) in the previous round.
