Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open: Noskova moves into last four
Linda Noskova beat Magda Linette 6-4, 6-3 on Thursday evening and will face American Ashlyn Krueger in the next round
Linda Noskova won against Pole Magda Linette 6-4, 6-3 to advance to the last 4 of the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open at the International Tennis Centre, Zayed Sports City on Thursday evening.
The Czech broke the Pole on four occasions, with an impressive 83 percent of first serve points won for the match compared to her opponent’s 66 percent.
Noskova, ranked No 39, will face American Ashlyn Krueger next.
Ahead of her victory, Linda Noskova defeated Pole Magdalena Frech (6-0, 6-3) and Spaniard Paula Badosa, the second seed (6-4, 6-1).
Linette, ranked No 38, beat Mexican qualifier Renata Zarazua (6-4, 7-6 (6)) and Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, the No 6 seed (5-7, 4-1 ret.) earlier in the tournament.
