Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina advanced to the second round of the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open by defeating Italian lucky loser Lucia Bronzetti 6-1, 7-6 (1) at the International Tennis Centre, Zayed Sports City on Tuesday.
Kalinina, ranked No 32, will face Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the No 8 seed, next.
