Morocco Open: Dream WTA debut continues for Riera as Argentine reaches semis in Rabat
Julia Riera won against Yulia Putintseva 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 on Thursday and will play Austrian Julia Grabher in the next round
Argentine Julia Riera continued her dream debut on the WTA Tour by beating Kazakh Yulia Putintseva, the No 6 seed, 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 to move into the last four of the Morocco Open at Union Sportive des Cheminots du Maroc in Rabat on Thursday.
Riera, ranked No 195 in the world, will face Austrian Julia Grabher next.

Ahead of her victory, the 20-year-old Argentine beat Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic (6-3, 6-0) and Egyptian Mayar Sherif, the No 3 seed (7-5, 7-5).
Putintseva, ranked No 61, won against Moroccan wildcard Aya El Aouni (6-1, 6-4) and Frenchwoman Leolia Jeanjean (6-2, 6-1) in the previous rounds of the Rabat Grand Prix.
