Kazakh Yulia Putintseva, the No 6 seed, won against Moroccan wildcard Aya El Aouni 6-1, 6-4 to reach the last 16 of the Morocco Open at Union Sportive des Cheminots du Maroc in Rabat on Monday afternoon.
Putintseva, ranked No 61, will face Frenchwoman Leolia Jeanjean next.
