German Tatjana Maria, the No 8 seed, reached the last 16 of the Morocco Open by winning against qualifier Tatiana Prozorova (7-5, 6-7 (5), 6-0) in Rabat on Tuesday.
Maria, ranked No 64, will face the winner of the match between Swede Rebecca Peterson and Italian Lucia Bronzetti next.
