Austrian Julia Grabher edged out Argentinian Julia Riera 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 (6) to move into the final of the Morocco Open at Union Sportive des Cheminots du Maroc in Rabat on Friday afternoon.
Grabher, ranked No 74, will face the winner of the match between Italian Lucia Bronzetti and American Sloane Stephens, the second seed, next.

In the previous rounds of the Rabat Grand Prix, the Austrian won against Belgian Ysaline Bonaventure (6-7 (3), 6-4, 6-2), Cagla Buyukakcay (6-1, 7-6 (4)) and Italian Martina Trevisan, the top seed (6-3 ret.).
Riera, ranked No 195, beat Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic (6-3, 6-0), Egyptian Mayar Sherif, the No 3 seed (7-5, 7-5) and Kazakh Yulia Putintseva, the No 6 seed (5-7, 6-4, 6-2) earlier in the tournament.
