Latvian Darja Semenistaja advanced to the last 16 of the Montreux Nestlé Open by edging out Ukrainian Katarina Zavatska 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 on Tuesday.
Semenistaja, ranked No 134, will face the winner of the match between Mona Barthel and No 6 seed Tamara Korpatsch next.
