Croat wildcard Petra Marcinko won against American Louisa Chirico 6-1, 6-4 to move into the last 16 of the Montreux Nestle Open on Monday afternoon.
Marcinko, ranked No 292, will face the winner of the match between German Ella Seidel, the No 8 seed, and Slovak Veronika Erjavec next.
