Ipek Oz advanced to the second round of the Montevideo Open by edging out American Jamie Loeb 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 at the Carrasco Lawn Tennis Club.
Oz, ranked No 241, will face the winner of the match between Brazilian Carolina M. Alves and Argentinian Julia Riera, the No 4 seed, next.
