Martina Capurro Taborda beat Taly Licht 6-1, 6-1 and will face the winner of the match between Leyre Romero Gormaz and Montgomery in the next round
Argentinian Martina Capurro Taborda, the No 3 seed, reached the second round of the Montevideo Open by winning against American wildcard Taly Licht 6-1, 6-1 at the Carrasco Lawn Tennis Club.
Capurro Taborda, ranked No 157, will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Leyre Romero Gormaz and American Robin Montgomery next.
