Monterrey Open: Frech beats Glushko to reach last eight
The Pole will face Colombian Camila Osorio or American Emma Navarro, the second seed, in the next round

Poland’s Magdalena Frech, the No 9 seed, won against Israeli lucky loser Lina Glushko 6-7 (2), 6-3, 6-1 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Monterrey Open at Sonoma Club on Wednesday.
Frech, ranked No 45, will face the winner of the match between Colombian Camila Osorio and American Emma Navarro, the second seed, next.
In the previous round of the tournament, the Pole edged out Argentinian Nadia Podoroska (6-4, 4-6, 6-4).
Glushko, ranked No 277, defeated Ukrainian qualifier Kateryna Volodko (6-3, 3-6, 6-3) earlier in the week.
