Monastir Open: Siniakova reaches second round
Katerina Siniakova benefited from the abandonment of Chloe Paquet (6-4, 4-0) on Monday. She’ll play the winner of the match between Croat qualifier Ana Konjuh and American Claire Liu in the next round
Czech Katerina Siniakova, the No 7 seed, advanced to the second round of the Monastir Open when Frenchwoman Chloe Paquet retired on Monday at the Monastir Tennis Club.
Siniakova, ranked No 53, led 6-4, 4-0 when Paquet, ranked No 112, pulled out at the Monastir Tennis Club on Monday.
The Czech will face the winner of the match between Croat qualifier Ana Konjuh and American Claire Liu next.
