Frenchwoman Alize Cornet, the No 3 seed, defeated Harriet Dart 6-3, 6-4 to move into the quarter-finals of the Monastir Open at the Monastir Tennis Club on Wednesday afternoon.
Cornet, ranked No 37, will face the winner of the match between Russian Anastasia Potapova, the No 6 seed, and Slovenian Tamara Zidansek next.
Ahead of her victory, the Frenchwoman won against Brazilian Laura Pigossi (7-6 (3), 6-0).
Dart, ranked No 96, beat Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz (6-2, 6-4) in the previous round of the Jasmin Open Tunisia.
