Ukrainian Yulia Starodubtsewa reached the second round of the Midland Open by winning against American wildcard Sophie Chang 3-6, 6-1, 6-0 at the Greater Midland Tennis Center on Monday.
Yulia Starodubtsewa will play the winner of the match between American Taylor Townsend, the No 4 seed, and Cypriot Raluka Serban next.
