Top seed Emma Navarro beat qualifier Robin Anderson 6-2, 6-1 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Midland Open at the Greater Midland Tennis Center on Thursday night.
Navarro, ranked No 42, will face No 7 seed Emina Bektas next.
Emma Navarro won against lucky loser Chloe Beck (6-2, 6-3) in the previous round of the Midland tournament, while during the first round, Anderson, ranked No 337, won against Elvina Kalieva (6-2, 6-2).
