Emina Bektas edged out Mccartney Kessler 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 and will play American wildcard Katrina Scott in the next round

No 7 seed Emina Bektas moved into the second round of the Midland Open by edging out wildcard Mccartney Kessler 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 at the Greater Midland Tennis Center.
Bektas, ranked No 104, will play American wildcard Katrina Scott next.
