Czech Marketa Vondrousova beat German Tatjana Maria 6-4, 6-1 to move into the second round of the Miami Open at the Hard Rock Stadium on Wednesday.
Vondrousova, ranked No 103, will face No 11 seed Veronika Kudermetova next.
