Miami: Samsonova sets third-round clash with Zheng Qinwen

Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the No 12 seed, moved into the third round of the Miami Open by defeating Swiss qualifier Viktorija Golubic 6-1, 6-1 at the Hard Rock Stadium on Thursday evening.
Samsonova, ranked No 15, will face Chinese Qinwen Zheng, the No 23 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Miami tournament, Golubic, ranked No 116, won against American wildcard Hailey Baptiste (7-6 (3), 6-1).
