Miami Open: Liu advances to second round as Siniakova quits with wrist injury; Swiatek next

American Claire Liu reached the second round of the Miami Open when Czech Katerina Siniakova retired at the Hard Rock Stadium on Tuesday.
Siniakova was leading 6-3, 3-3 when she pulled out on Tuesday, having earlier had a medical timeout for a wrist injury.
Liu, the 22-year-old world No 56, will play top seed Iga Swiatek next.
