Miami Open: Cirstea books spot in last 16

Romanian Sorana Cirstea beat Czech qualifier Karolina Muchova 7-5, 6-1 to advance to the last 16 of the Miami Open at the Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday. Cirstea, ranked No 74, will face Marketa Vondrousova next.
The Romanian won against Mexican wildcard Fernanda Contreras Gomez (7-6 (6), 6-2) and Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia, the No 5 seed (6-2, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
Muchova, ranked No 55, defeated Swiss Jil Teichmann (6-0, 6-2) and Chinese Lin Zhu, the No 32 seed (6-4, 6-2).
