Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu advanced to the second round of the Miami Open by beating Filipino wildcard Alexandra Eala 6-2, 7-5 at the Hard Rock Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Begu, ranked No 38, will face No 23 seed Qinwen Zheng next.
