Mérida Open: Li moves into final
Ann Li won against Polina Kudermetova 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 on Sunday and will face Zeynep Sonmez in the final

American Ann Li beat Russian Polina Kudermetova 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 to move into the final of the Mérida Open at the Yucatan Country Club on Sunday.
Li, ranked No 111, will face Zeynep Sonmez next.
The American won against Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz, the No 8 seed (6-0, 6-4), Croat Antonia Ruzic (6-2, 6-2) and Swiss Jil Teichmann (6-1, 6-1) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Kudermetova, ranked No 133, won against Argentinian Nadia Podoroska, the second seed (6-1, 6-1), American Varvara Lepchenko (6-3, 6-4) and Serb Nina Stojanovic (5-7, 6-4, 6-3).
