Mérida Open: Kudermetova moves into second round

Russian Polina Kudermetova won against Argentinian Nadia Podoroska, the second seed, 6-1, 6-1 to advance to the second round of the Mérida Open at the Yucatan Country Club on Wednesday evening.

Kudermetova, ranked No 133, will face American Varvara Lepchenko next.
