Mérida Open: Chwalinska through to second round
Maja Chwalinska won against Rebecca Marino 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 on Monday night and will play the winner of the match between Mexican Renata Zarazua, the top seed, and American wildcard Akasha Urhobo in the next round

Pole qualifier Maja Chwalinska won against Canadian Rebecca Marino 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 to reach the second round of the Mérida Open at the Yucatan Country Club on Monday night.
Chwalinska, ranked No 175, will play the winner of the match between Mexican Renata Zarazua, the top seed, and American wildcard Akasha Urhobo next.
