Romanian Anca Todoni, the No 6 seed, defeated Croatian Jana Fett 6-3, 6-2 to move into the last eight of the Megasaray Hotels Open 1 on Thursday.
Todoni, ranked No 100, will play the winner of the match between Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus, the No 3 seed, and Russian Anastasia Zakharova next.
The 20-year-old Romanian won against Hungarian Panna Udvardy (4-6, 6-4, 6-2) in the previous round.
In the previous round, Fett, ranked No 134, won against French qualifier Margaux Rouvroy (2-6, 6-1, 6-3).
