Frenchwoman Clara Burel beat Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz, the No 7 seed, 6-1, 2-6, 6-3 to reach the last 16 of the Megasaray Hotels Open 1 on Wednesday.
Burel, ranked No 148, will face the winner of the match between Russian qualifier Elena Pridankina and Latvian Darja Semenistaja next.
