Japanese Nao Hibino, the No 7 seed, advanced to the last 16 of the Makarska Open by beating Hungarian Anna Bondar 7-5, 7-6 (6) on Tuesday afternoon.
Hibino, ranked No 96, will play the winner of the match between German Noma Noha Akugue and Russian Polina Kudermetova next.
