Mayar Sherif defeated Tamara Zidansek 6-3, 6-2 on Tuesday evening and will face Belarusian wildcard Kristina Dmitruk in the next round

Egyptian Mayar Sherif, the No 3 seed, advanced to the last 16 of the Makarska Open by beating Slovenian Tamara Zidansek 6-3, 6-2 at the Tennis Center Makarska.
Sherif, ranked No 54, will face Belarusian wildcard Kristina Dmitruk next.
