Frenchwoman Diane Parry, the No 5 seed, moved into the last 16 of the Makarska Open by winning against Croat wildcard Petra Marcinko 6-2, 6-4 at Tennis Center Makarska.
Parry, ranked No 79, will play the winner of the match between Romanian qualifier Miriam Bulgaru and Frenchwoman Chloe Paquet next.
