Linda Noskova won against Elsa Jacquemot 6-3, 7-6 (7) on Thursday afternoon and will face Frenchwoman Diane Parry, the No 5 seed, in the next round
Czech Linda Noskova, the top seed, beat Frenchwoman Elsa Jacquemot 6-3, 7-6 (7) to advance to the quarter-finals of the Makaraska Open at Tennis Center Makarska on Thursday.
Noskova, ranked No 50, will face Frenchwoman Diane Parry, the No 5 seed, next.
The 18-year-old Czech won against Latvian Darja Semenistaja (6-2, 7-5) in the previous round of the Makarska tournament.
In the previous round of the Makarska tournament, Jacquemot, ranked No 176, won against German Mona Barthel (6-4, 4-6, 6-2).
