Makarska Open: Konjuh moves into last 8

Croat Ana Konjuh moved into the last eight of the Makaraska Open after Swede Rebecca Peterson, the No 7 seed, withdrew before the match on Thursday evening at Tennis Center Makarska.
Konjuh, ranked No 173, will face the winner of the match between Ukrainian qualifier Katarina Zavatska and Italian Jasmine Paolini, the second seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the Croat won against Czech Sara Bejlek (6-4, 6-2).
Peterson, ranked No 87, beat Croat wildcard Tena Lukas (6-0, 6-1) in the previous round of the Makarska tournament.
