Madrid Open: Straightforward for top seed Swiatek, books spot in round of 32

Pole Iga Swiatek, the top seed, won against Austrian lucky loser Julia Grabher 6-3, 6-2 to advance to the round of 32 at the Madrid Open at the Caja Magica on Friday.
The world No 1 has now won her last 17 matches against qualifiers and lucky losers.
Swiatek will face American Bernarda Pera, the No 28 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Madrid tournament, Grabher, ranked No 92, defeated Bulgarian lucky loser Viktoriya Tomova (6-1, 7-6 (5)).
