Madrid Open: Pegula into round of 32
Jessica Pegula won against Magdalena Frech 7-6 (5), 6-3 on Friday evening and will face the winner of the match between Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich and Czech Marie Bouzkova, the No 29 seed, in the next round

American Jessica Pegula, the No 3 seed, advanced to the round of 32 at the Madrid Open by beating Pole qualifier Magdalena Frech 7-6 (5), 6-3 at the Caja Magica on Friday.
Pegula, ranked No 3, will play the winner of the match between Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich and Czech Marie Bouzkova, the No 29 seed, next.
Frech, ranked No 100, won against Italian Jasmine Paolini (6-2, 6-3) in the previous round of the Madrid tournament.
