Madrid Open: Krueger makes third round
Ashlyn Krueger defeated Ekaterina Alexandrova 6-3, 6-3 on Friday. She’ll play the winner of the match between qualifier Sara Bejlek and Russian Anna Kalinskaya, the No 24 seed, in the next round

American Ashlyn Krueger won against Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, the No 14 seed, 6-3, 6-3 to advance to the third round of the Madrid Open at the Caja Magica on Friday.
Krueger, ranked No 70, will face the winner of the match between qualifier Sara Bejlek and Russian Anna Kalinskaya, the No 24 seed, next.
The 19-year-old American beat Japanese Nao Hibino (6-4, 6-4) in the previous round of the Madrid tournament.
