Madrid Open: Krejcikova moves into round of 16, sets up Martic clash
Barbora Krejcikova won against Xiyu Wang 6-4, 6-1 on Sunday. She’ll play Croat Petra Martic, the No 27 seed, in the next round

Czech Barbora Krejcikova, the No 11 seed, advanced to the round of 16 at the Madrid Open by winning against Chinese Xiyu Wang 6-4, 6-1 at the Caja Magica on Sunday.
Krejcikova, ranked No 12, will play Croat Petra Martic, the No 27 seed, next.
The Czech defeated Montenegrin Danka Kovinic (6-3, 4-6, 6-0) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Wang, ranked No 65, edged out Russian Varvara Gracheva (6-7 (2), 6-3, 6-4) and beat Canadian Bianca Andreescu, the No 23 seed (3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-2).
