Eugenie Bouchard notches first Madrid win since 2017

Canadian qualifier Eugenie Bouchard defeated Ukrainian qualifier Dayana Yastremska 6-7 (6), 6-2, 6-2 to advance to the 64 of the Madrid Open at the Caja Magica on Wednesday evening.
The victory marks Bouchard’s first win in Madrid since she reached the quarter-finals in 2017.
Bouchard, ranked No 285, will play No 18 seed Martina Trevisan next.
