Madrid Open: Begu gets Past Muchova in round 2
Irina-Camelia Begu won against Karolina Muchova 6-4, 7-5 on Thursday evening. She’ll play the winner of the match between Romanian Ana Bogdan and American Shelby Rogers, the No 33 seed, in the next round

Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu, the No 31 seed, reached the third round of the Madrid Open by beating Czech Karolina Muchova 6-4, 7-5 at the Caja Magica on Thursday evening.
Begu, ranked No 35, will face the winner of the match between Romanian Ana Bogdan and American Shelby Rogers, the No 33 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Madrid tournament, Muchova, ranked No 52, won against Estonian Anett Kontaveit (6-2, 6-2).
