Lyon Open: Top seed Garcia moves into second round

Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia, the top seed, moved into the second round of the Lyon Open by beating Czech Tereza Martincova 6-4, 7-6 (4) at the Palais des Sports de Gerland Lyon on Tuesday.

Garcia, ranked No 5, will face the winner of the match between Belgian Alison Van Uytvanck and German Tamara Korpatsch next.
