Egyptian Mayar Sherif, the No 3 seed, won against Colombian Emiliana Arango 6-2, 6-3 to advance to the last eight of the LP Open by IND.
Sherif, ranked No 100, will face the winner of the match between Brazilian Laura Pigossi, the No 7 seed, and Portuguese Francisca Jorge next.
In the previous round, the Egyptian beat Russian Alevtina Ibragimova (6-4, 6-1).
Arango, ranked No 178, edged out Finn Anastasia Kulikova (6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (2)) in the previous round.
