The Argentine was too strong for the Frenchwoman

Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle, the second seed, moved into the last 8 of the LP Open by IND by beating Frenchwoman Leolia Jeanjean 1-6, 6-1, 6-1 on Thursday evening.
Carle, ranked No 94, will play the winner of the match between Romanian lucky loser Georgia Andreea Craciun and Italian qualifier Nicole Fossa Huergo next.
The Argentinian won against American Robin Anderson (6-2, 6-1) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round, Jeanjean, ranked No 171, won against Chilean wildcard Fernanda Labrana (6-0, 6-2).
