L’Open 35 de Saint Malo: Boisson through to last four with win over Volynets
Lois Boisson won against Katie Volynets 5-7, 6-2, 6-2 on Friday evening and will play No 8 seed Alize Cornet in the next round

French wildcard Lois Boisson reached the semi-finals of the L’Open 35 de Saint Malo by beating American Katie Volynets, the No 7 seed, 5-7, 6-2, 6-2.
Boisson, ranked No 191, will face No 8 seed Alize Cornet next.
The 20-year-old Frenchman defeated No 4 seed Varvara Gracheva (6-4, 7-5) and Argentinian qualifier Solana Sierra (6-1, 6-0) in the previous rounds.
Earlier in the tournament, Volynets, ranked No 105, won against Australian Olivia Gadecki (6-4, 6-1) and French wildcard Carole Monnet (6-4, 6-3).
