Linz Open: Galfi moves into last eight
Dalma Galfi beat Eva Lys 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 on Thursday afternoon and will play Czech Marketa Vondrousova in the next round
Hungarian qualifier Dalma Galfi moved into the last eight of the Linz Open by defeating German wildcard Eva Lys 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 at the Design Center Linz on Thursday afternoon.
Galfi, ranked No 92, will face Czech Marketa Vondrousova next.
Ahead of her victory, the Hungarian won against American Bernarda Pera, the No 7 seed (6-2, 7-6 (5)).
Lys, ranked No 126, won against Russian lucky loser Kamilla Rakhimova (6-4, 7-6 (5)) in the previous round of the Linz tournament.
