Czech Tereza Martincova, the No 8 seed, won against Frenchwoman Oceane Dodin 6-2, 7-5 to reach the last 16 of the Les Championnats Banque Nationale de Granby on Monday evening.
Martincova, ranked No 69, will play the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Diane Parry and Swiss qualifier Lulu Sun next.
