Les Championnats Banque Nationale de Granby: Marino moves into last eight
Rebecca Marino won against Jasmine Paolini 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 on Wednesday night and will face Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk, the No 10 seed, in the next round
Canadian Rebecca Marino advanced to the quarter-finals of the Les Championnats Banque Nationale de Granby by winning against Italian Jasmine Paolini, the No 3 seed, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 on Wednesday night.
Marino, ranked No 112, will play Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk, the No 10 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the Canadian beat Victoria Mboko (6-3, 6-3).
Paolini, ranked No 57, defeated Japanese lucky loser Himeno Sakatsume (7-6 (6), 6-4) in the previous round.
