Croat Petra Martic won against Russian qualifier Erika Andreeva 6-4, 6-2 to advance to the last eight of the Lausanne Open at Tennis Club du Stade-Lausanne on Wednesday afternoon.
Martic, ranked No 85, will play the winner of the match between wildcard Susan Bandecchi and second seed Belinda Bencic next.
The Croat defeated Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz, the No 5 seed (6-2, 6-2) in the previous round of the Lausanne.
During the first round of the Lausanne, Andreeva, ranked No 153, beat qualifier Anna Blinkova (6-1, 6-2).
