Lausanne Open: Lys moves into second round

Eva Lys beat Varvara Gracheva 7-5, 6-4 on Tuesday afternoon and will face German Jule Niemeier in the next round

German qualifier Eva Lys reached the second round of the Lausanne Open by beating Russian Varvara Gracheva, the No 8 seed, 7-5, 6-4 at Tennis Club du Stade-Lausanne on Tuesday.

Lys, ranked No 217, will play German Jule Niemeier next.
