Second seed Belinda Bencic defeated wildcard Susan Bandecchi 6-3, 6-4 to move into the last eight of the Lausanne Open at Tennis Club du Stade-Lausanne on Thursday evening.
Bencic, ranked No 13, will face Croat Petra Martic next.
Belinda Bencic won against Frenchwoman Diane Parry (3-6, 6-3, 6-1) in the previous round of the Lausanne.
