Second seed Belinda Bencic reached the quarter-finals of the Lausanne Open by winning against wildcard Susan Bandecchi 6-3, 6-4 at Tennis Club du Stade-Lausanne on Thursday evening.
Bencic, ranked No 13, will play Croat Petra Martic next.
In the previous round of the Lausanne, Belinda Bencic beat Frenchwoman Diane Parry (3-6, 6-3, 6-1). Bandecchi, ranked No 229, won against Frenchwoman Oceane Dodin (6-2, 6-1).
